It’s easy to contribute toward the expenses at Brigada. You can give $500 or $50 — any amount helps. If you’d like to use PayPal, click the “Donate” button above left to contribute via PayPal, Mastercard, Visa or any other major credit card. You need not have a PayPal Account. After clicking the button above, you’ll be taken to a PayPal secure giving site. On that page, just look down at the bottom lefthand side and there you’ll find a link, “Don’t have a PayPal account?” Click “Continue” and there you can choose to use your Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or any other major credit card. You don’t even have to register with PayPal if you prefer not to do so.)
If you prefer not to use PayPal, you can also click on the “Donate” button upper right. This link takes you to take you to Authorize.net’s payment processor, a completely different service.
By the way, either way, these giving pages are extremely encrypted. No one will be able to see your donation on the Internet — because in both cases, you’ll be using a secure banking site.
If you’d prefer not to use an online payment service, you can also simply mail a check to:
Team Expansion (Brigada)
11327 Jefferson Trace Blvd.
Louisville, KY 40291
If you’d like a tax-deductible receipt, please mail your check and make your check payable to “Team Expansion.”
If you’d like to be a recurring giver (e.g., $25/month), it’s easy! Just fill out this form and mail it to the address below.

RKW: Have been trying (MANY TIMES)to donate via VISA without using PayPal, but I just cannot get to the “page” that shows what you said below:
“(Note: You need not have a PayPal. After clicking the button below, just look down at the bottom lefthand side of the resulting next page. There you’ll find a link, “Don’t have a PayPal account?” There you can choose to use your Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or any other major credit card. You don’t even have to register with PayPal if you prefer not to do so.)”
RKW: KINDLY PROVIDE AN EASIER WAY … if you want to encourage donations via other means besides PayPal.

RKW — and others — You were so right! Somehow, in transferring code to the new “Web 2.0″ version of Brigada, the link had become inoperable. Please try it again and let us know here, or by email, if you have any problem whatsoever. Yikes. Thanks for the heads-up, too!

OK. Now you’re talkin’! :-) We’ll get Brigada set up with another giving solution besides PayPal. No problem. But… FYI… I just tried the button and it looks like it’s working ok already. But nonetheless, we’ll give two solutions. Thanks for the input.

Just read your latest response after tryin to donate online and tried one more time… IT STILL DOESN'T WORK :(
BTW, just in case your webmaster needs this info: I'm now using Mozilla Firefox v3.0 as I found IE too sluggish & venerable to "attacks", etc.
Doug, kindly KEEP TRYING TO SOLVE this "technical hitch" so that yours truly and others can support your WONDERFUL MINISTRY… :)
I'm residing in a 10/40 region, so I hope this isn't contributing to the "problem".
Bless you. SHALOM.

Doug, We are also trying to give $100, but as in the past, can't do so w/o a PP account. Yes, the link is there and it takes me to the page you mentioned, but once I fill in all the info a message comes up asking for my PP account info. RRRRR…. it is a little frustrating. Hope it gets fixed soon so we can send a gift.
Bless you, A & K

OK Anonymous and RKW, we will not rest ’til we come up with another solution as an option. We have rec’d a couple of gifts through the PayPal site in the past week, so we thought it was sorted out. I’m on it!!! … and thank you!

Check out the new “Donate” buttons on the upper right. Are those visible ok? Note that with the service that we’ve joined, one has to specify an initial amount. We’ve filled in $25, $50, and $100 amounts. Do those seem on track? Either way, notice you don’t have to join anything. It just like using a typical “shopping cart” at a vendor’s website. Will that work? Please try it and let us know. Thanks!!!

Doug, I just tried TWICE to donate US$100 online at your “Donate page” but it kept saying: “This transaction cannot be accepted.” :(
10 Doug Lucas // Aug 7, 2008 at 4:36 am
Yes, but now it’s for a different reason. The report says “shipping/billing mismatch.” Did you enter the correct billing address for the card? It probably needs to be the exact billing address on file with the credit card company. This service is like a shopping cart, in that it will check for fraud.
If the billing address was correct as entered, I fear that maybe there’s an issue with the way the service is configured. If you’re kind enough to try it again, this time, make sure you click the checkbox for “shipping address is same as billing address.” Maybe the service noticed you didn’t specify a shipping address. That would explain the error code also.
One of those two issues must have been the culprit. Sorry for the inconvenience… but you really are indeed helping us launch a new alternative donation service for partners, so we’re grateful for the time you invested… and, FYI, as you suspected, no charges were made against your card. I can see a report real-time.

OK, I just tested a page with one of the new Authorize.net credit card buttons. Took it all the way through the process… and it worked great. Hope it helps!

Just tried again… 5 times :)
Result on the 5th attempt: “Waiting for secure.authorize.net” appeared and then it just “hanged” :(
Doug, let’s get this SOLVED for His sake.
With blessings, RKW

Hello RKW. Thanks again for being such a great sport. I can’t quite understand what’s going wrong. I just donated $100 to Brigada using the 3rd button:
“Thank you for your order!
——————————————————————————–
You may print this receipt page for your records. A receipt has also been emailed to you.
——————————————————————————–
Merchant: Brigada
Description:
Date/Time: 07-Aug-2008 11:57:24 PM
Transaction ID: 1941210958… “
[end]
Worked perfectly.
Skype is great — but I’m just not on it very much. I’ll send you an email off of this comment line and let’s sort this out. Thanks again for your patience. There must be an issue particular to your card. Maybe you’re failing to enter the billing address correctly somehow? Just guessing though. Please understand that I don’t mean to be critical. Just trying to understand.

Hello "A & K" (who left their comment at "Anonymous", above). Just wanted to let you know that I believe the non-PayPal gateway is now working. It would be awesome, if you're still interested and if you stop by here, if someone else would test one of the new buttons, then, on the upper *right* side of the page — the non-PayPal giving options. Thanks again for your interest and partnership in keeping Brigada pumping out the door!

Doug,
This new system is great…thanks for getting it set up so we could finally donate easily!! It took less than a minute for me to fill in the info and receive a recept!
We received a very generous anonymous gift as part of our support this month, so wanted to "pay it forward". We greatly appreciate the ministry of Brigada.
Bless you,
A & K

Doug -
Your email is not working! I tried to donate using PayPal and it bounced back. When I sent you an email about it, that bounced back, too. I have been using: dlucas
brigada
org. Has it changed?
