MAP ORDERS INDICATE LOVE FOR LEAST REACHED…. PRICES REDUCED TONS
At times like this, it’s hard to miss your love and concern for the least reached. When we announced (two issues ago) the new global maps that would show thousands of people groups (instead of political subdivisions), we were hoping there would be some interest… 100, 200 or maybe 300 maps ordered. But we had no idea that the response would be this intense!!! These maps will indicate in red the “last frontiers”, showing clearly for the first time ever in history exactly where we need to focus our energies if we’re going to finish the task of establishing at least beachhead churches among every people. They’ll also show the progress among other peoples…. thousands of them! Well — you have shown your concern!!!! Brigada readers have now ordered well above 1000 maps and, thanks to your response and the response of others, we all now enjoy the results of working together!!!! Global Mapping has heard the clear clarion call of the quantity needed and has responded by ordering a much larger quantity from the printer, which decreases the price for everyone.

The new prices, announced yesterday, are as follows: The poster size (24×36″), full color map of least reached peoples: $6.95 (this is printed on 80 pound glossy paper, rolled and shipped in a tube)

The Large (36×64″), wall-sized map of least reached peoples: $9.95 (big enough for church foyers and reception areas, again, in a tube)

These prices are nearly 1/3 of what we originally thought would be needed… and we owe a huge debt to Brigada readers and others for standing together to make this kind of order a possibility.

ORDER LINE SWAMPED
If you tried to call MSA to place your order, you know their lines were swamped by this. Their phone rang off the hook! Now, as a result of this new pricing, we’re anticipating an even greater response. So, [IMPORTANT] we’re asking that you delay your order until next Wednesday, at which time we’ll announce a new toll free order line for these maps. At that time, we’ll put out a special announcement giving new order instructions. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL MSA TO ORDER THESE GLOBAL MAPS. They are very kind people… with overwhelmingly loving hearts for the least reached people of the world, … but this kind of response — taking hundreds of orders by email, hundreds by fax, and hundreds by phone all in a matter of a few days — is beyond their current staffing levels.

YOUR CURRENT ORDER WILL BE TRANSFERRED
Therefore, your current orders will be transferred to the new provider. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REORDER. You may of course call in and order more maps… but your first orders will be fulfilled.

Again, thank you for your terrific response… and please, once again, do not call, fax or write MSA for additional maps at this time. Wait until Wednesday, May 1st….. $6.95 / 9.95. Thanks! And many thanks to MSA for fielding zillions of requests for these maps!!! We owe you one MSA!

WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT JUNO IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS … FOR FREE!
Remember the free email people that we mentioned a few issues ago??? Word on the street is that they’re ready for your orders. The deal is, you see an advertisement once and awhile, apparently, but all your email passes to the whole world for free… no monthly charge… no time charge.. no charge of any kind! ONLY FOR THE USA [sorry!] , send your mailing address to signupatjunodotcom for more info. Or check out their web site at http://www.juno.com/ You can also call 1-800-799-JUNO (tell them “Extension F” and when they ask for your “personal response code”, tell them this was a referral). They give you free personal software for email… and you’re in business! If you find this to be helpful, tell a friend who has been complaining about the monthly cost an email subscription would entail. Then suggest to your friend that he/she subscribe to Brigada! :-)

“MORE THAN GOLD” FREE FOR THE ASKING
Thanks to Mark Snowden, Media & Sports Ministries Consultant with the Foreign Mission Board, SBC, for making “More Than Gold” available at no cost to Brigada readers!!! As the Olympics draw closer, you might want to sample these lessons, which are based on the first half of Daniel and interweave fitness information with biblical truths. There are teachers’ guides included with each lesson. These are meant to be photocopied. Great for a Sunday School session or home Bible study with an evangelistic emphasis. In case you hadn’t heard, More Than Gold is the theme being used by evangelicals at the Atlanta Games. To order, write Mark at 7568785atmcimaildotcom — but don’t expect personalized responses! [grin] :-) Mark’s kindness will be limited by the number of emails he receives!!! :-)

GLOBAL GLIMPSE FROM ISRAEL
According to Messianic Jews in Israel, over a dozen previously Islamic villagers have converted to Christianity in the past few years. One of the new converts was kidnapped, bound and hidden in the bathroom of a Fatah-movement hideout in the city Nablus. After his escape he said, “I did not find it in the Koran. What I was looking for, I found in the Bible.” Local Christians report that 215 Arabs showed interest in following Christ during door-to-door evangelism.

GOT A HEART FOR YOUR MUSLIM FRIENDS??? WANT TO GET ONE???
Lincoln Christian Seminary is offering two intensive courses for people interested in work among Muslims. “Evangelizing Sufis and Folk Muslims”..June 3-7, and “Church Planting in Muslim Contexts”..June 10-14. Both courses will be conducted at LCS’s Chicago Urban Mission Center. They are available for credit or audit…and at a bargain price for missionaries on furlough or appointees on their way to the field. Others are also welcome to enroll. Housing is available…rather spartan, but inexpensive…$5.00 per night. Meals can be obtained from anyone of dozens of ethnic shops in the area. This part of Chicago is one of the most ethnically diverse places in the USA. Muslims are throughout the area….a living lab. For more information contact: Dr. Robert C. Douglas at LCS, 100 Campus View Dr., Lincoln, IL., 62656 or email rcdouglaatprairienetdotorg. Dr. Douglas was head of Zwemer Institute for some 8 years following tons of years living in the Middle East in service to the King.

JUST LUCK!
[I shared the following appeared this week in Team Expansion’s HeartBeat Online; it’s dedicated to the workers in the fields!] “It was just luck!” How many times have you said that!?? I know I have. I said it Wednesday night. In our attempts to not appear overly confident, we sometimes pass off that phrase flippantly, hoping that the hearers will appreciate the real root… that we don’t want to brag … and that we’re not in it for the glory.

But the truth is…. sometimes it’s not “just luck”. I’m reminded of Steve Martin’s movie, Parenthood. Remember the part in which Martin’s character, a father of a young boy of 9 or 10, describes to his wife the great catch their son had made (playing little league baseball that evening). She replies, “Well what do you expect!?!! You must have hit 12 million pop flies to him over the past 5 years out in the back yard!”

Wednesday night it occurred to me that it’s not luck at all if we happen to catch a pop fly… or blast a soccer ball into the far post corner of the goal… IF we’ve just invested zillions of practice attempts the week or two before, trying to prepare for the one special time when we’ll have the opportunity for a catch… or a full-volley airball kick.

Likewise, for those laboring on-site in some cross-cultural setting, is it “just luck” when someone finally accepts Christ, or attends church??? Never. First there are the years of preparation in Bible college and ministry. Then there’s the language learning that got you there. Then there’s the countless hours of relationship building, door-to-door calling, teaching, strategizing, presenting, praying, painting (getting a building ready for services maybe???), shopping (for supplies for a retreat maybe???), … the list goes on and on. We rehearse our presentation, we practice our sermon, we investigate the scriptures. When it all comes down to it… when that cell group leader finally succeeds in launching a new home group, is it just luck??? Nope. Is it any wonder? You’ve got the Spirit of God on your side plus years of “pop flies” in the back yard.

My conclusion? The practice time pays off. If you’re rehearsing the language, if you’re studying the culture, if you’re working on the sermon, … etc., etc., etc…. the practice time pays off.

Wednesday night I shot my first full volley into the far post of the soccer net during a game situation on a field full of other adult men and women, many of which (about half, in fact :-)) were trying to stop me. Was it just luck? Nope. Was it skill that I naturally possess??? Not a chance. (Believe me on that one!!! Not a chance!!!) A few weeks ago, my nine-year-old and I stood alone on a windy soccer field tossing each other “serves” for hours just to practice this one kick… so we could full volley a ball directly out of the air into the far post … without hesitation, without fear, without missing.

Just luck last night??? Not a chance.
Wizardry??? Not hardly.
Practice? Yes.
More needed? You bet..
Happy? Ecstatic! :-)

So keep up the practice on-site workers… on the language, the culture, the Bible, the sermons, the supplies, everything… Keep it up. We’re cheering for you from the sidelines!!! And in fact, we’re on the field with you in support!!!!! God bless your week!
Doug

MAP ORDERS APPROACH HALFWAY MARK!
ONE WEEK REMAINS TO REACH QUANTITY
If you were ever thinking about ordering a copy of the new “people group” map, now would be a great time! The publisher has extended the deadline to MSA for an additional 7 days but the close-out for our group order stands firm at one week from today, Apr. 29. As of last Thursday, Brigada readers had already ordered 401 copies of the 24×36″ map ($14.95) and 152 orders for the larger 36×64″ version ($29.95)! That’s a tremendous response!!! Thanks for your concern for least evangelized peoples. However, you’ll recall that if we reach quantities of 1000 and 500 respectively, prices drop for everyone to $10 and $25 respectively. MSA has agreed to enclose the invoice for the map inside the mailing tube — no prepayment required. They also have specified ‘no credit cards’ on this order, thus passing along the resulting cost savings (from not having to pay the credit card surcharges) to Brigada participants. Orders from outside the US must be paid with International money order or check on American bank (with routing numbers on the check) — but remember, you won’t have to mess with that until billed. Current pricing is $14.95 & $29.95 each, including the postage and handling to any U.S. address. Foreign postage could be considerable more. Remember that both are printed on glossy 80# paper. Nice.

What can you do with these maps? The 3’x5’+ size would look great in your church foyer or as the centerpiece for a missions bulletin board. The 24×36 version could even serve as a place mat/keepsake for your next missions committee retreat/luncheon. And how ’bout bulletin boards at your college or Christian school, or in your classroom if you’re a home schooler. You could buy a small quantity to keep on hand as thank you gifts for larger donors…. or give them as unique Christmas gifts in December! Believe me, people are going to like these colorful and informative maps. I lifted up my copy of the pre-published draft version at a workshop this past weekend and several church leaders came up afterward and insisted that they needed the draft version immediately! They wanted to take it home with them from the workshop!!!

Remember that I’m going to order mine like everyone else… and MSA will bill me like everyone else. There’s no free lunch for me — but I figured out this morning that if we stood side by side on this and ordered together, we’d be saving, as a group, some $7500 while getting the message out about the least evangelized to all the more people! If you’re interested, contact MSA today at 102774dot1772atcompuservedotcom or call toll-free in the USA at 800-655-8524 (fax 423-577-9743).

MISSIONS IS ALIVE AND WELL IN THE CHURCH!
We’ve just finished a weekend with local churches in Dayton, Ohio, where 120 church leaders representing some 36 congregations in 17 states came together to celebrate what God’s doing around the world and covenant together to finish the task — in conjunction with the Envision ’96 emphasis for Nov. 1-3 in Lexington, KY. Though the weekend was exhausting for me personally, it was invigorating for me spiritually! First, I saw tremendous cooperation. A dozen trained facilitators worked together to help these church leaders pray strategically and plan intentionally to plant churches among groups mostly taken from the Joshua Project list of least evangelized peoples. These facilitators came from various parts of the world and from several different mission agency backgrounds, yet they worked together as one, often supporting the needs of the other organization more than their own! And there was no competition among the churches, either. (like lighthouses???) Refreshing! George Miley, of Antioch Network, did a tremendous job speaking from the missions side of things, and Steve Wyatt, Sr. Minister at Cullen Av. Chr. Ch. in Evansville, KY, was super in his lessons from Elijah during worship.

Also, we saw tremendous initiative on the part of the churches themselves! Many arrived late Thursday night, but even after a long day of training on Friday, they spent most of Saturday in intensive face to face planning meetings, writing down mission statements, goals, and dreams. In the reporting session later, we heard individual, proactive and specific plans to reach tons of cities in the Middle East, plus others in Asia, N. Africa, and the rest of the world. Wow! The church is alive and well… and church leaders seem to mean business!!! For more information on Envision ’96, send email to hubatxcdotorg with only the following line in the body of the message text:
subscribe brigada-projects-envision96

or check out the web site at: http://www.xc.org/brigada/e96 or call Walter Birney at the Envision ’96 office, 1-800-972-1137 or fax 316-668-5220 or email wbirney11ataoldotcom Registration for the Nov. 1-3 event in Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY, has been placed at the unheard of cost of $6!!! Only 56 exhibit spaces (out of 275) remain. If you’d like attend, set up a booth, or just find out more info, call or write today. And pray for Envision ’96!

————————————–

“WHERE DO WE LIST OUR ADOPTION INTENTIONS?”
During the extended discussions in the pgc-* development groups, one might ask, “Where do we list our intentions to take responsibility for planting a church among some least evangelized people group?” As of now, the best bet is to advise brigada-peoplesatxcdotorg and copy the note to danatad2000dotorg at the AD2000 & Beyond Office. Dan will list your contact email address in the Joshua Project list of least reached peoples. As a result, make sure you provide a “safe” (non-sensitive) contact address that can receive inquiries about reaching your group!

GLOBAL GLIMPSE
The question to evacuate or remain in war-torn Liberia has been difficult for Christian workers there. Most of the roughly 200 Christian workers were based in Monrovia, Liberia’s capital, where the fighting has also been most intense. Many testify of God’s miraculous deliverance, even amid live fire. One mission director and his family were assaulted 10+ times by rebels armed with AK-47s in their home. His teenage daughters were also threatened. The helicopter which carried them to safety was fired on several times as it lifted off. Nevertheless, some Christian workers resolved to stay, no matter how bad the situation gets: “Liberians still need the Lord.”

GOT IDEAS FOR CHILDREN’S MISSIONS SERMON SPOTS??
Roger Hederstedt 76002.3662.COMPUSERVE.COM wants to know!

“As a missionary heading back for home assignment, I’m looking for resources with creative ideas for presenting missions specifically during the ‘children’s sermon’ slot that many churches have as part of their regular worship services. Missionaries often get a 5-7 minute quickie interview or talk during a service to say everything that’s on their heart–a major challenge! What I’d like to do is volunteer to take the children’s sermon slot (churches will yield that pulpit much more readily than the “adult” pulpit) and present the missions challenge through a creative object-lesson talk. (It’s sneaky, of course, but I know that most adults get more out of a good, easily comprehensible children’s sermon than they do out of the more abstract adult sermon!) Please suggest resources even if they’re not specifically missions-oriented. If they’ve got creative presentation ideas/object lessons, etc., I can re-work the content while using the creative communication vehicle to get the Great Commission message across.”

Roger, you just might be on to something! Gang, email Roger direct at the address above — and Roger, when you’re done collecting info., please knit together the entire lot of comments you receive and forward them back to us for posting as a file that we can announce here in Brigada Today! Thanks!

NEPAL [STILL] BREAKS FORTH IN SONG…
…is a 30 minute video which tells the story of the Nepali Church from 1950 to the present time – an unreached nation 4 decades ago! It is told by Nepali Christians who relate some of their experiences through 40 years of persecution and what the democratic freedoms of 1990 have meant for the Church. It is a unique story of a Church which grew parallel to foreign missionary presence in Nepal. The Christian Arts Association, Nepal (CAAN) sponsored this production with funds from TEAR Fund (UK), the Danish Santal Mission, the Norwegian Himal Asia Mission, and the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission. The producer is Richard Friedericks (Essential Productions), a third generation Presbyterian missionary with twenty-five years experience in India and Nepal. Copies of “NEPAL BREAKS FORTH IN SONG” are available at $20.00 (NTSC) and $25.00 (PAL) each plus shipping and handling ($4.00 in USA & Canada and $7.00 overseas). A study guide, with complete transcript, comes with the video. CONTACT: Richard Friedericks, richardfatolympusdotnet

READY FOR A NEW PARADIGM?
FLASH – – IMPORTANT RELEASE – – FLASH
Well, we’ve been dropping hints for several weeks now, asking you to reserve wall space — and the announcement day is finally here. Dozens of leading researchers and organizations have c combined forces to produce and deliver a new look at the globe. For the first time in history, you can own a map that shows the world by peoples rather than by political borders! This is the literal assignment by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 — “Make disciples of all nations.” The nations identified on this map are the very nations that apply to Jesus’ commandment today! Why in the world it has taken this long to produce this document, I’ll never know. But it’s here today.

We’re not talking a black and white page that’s 8 1/2 x 11. We’re talking a full color map that’s perfect for your study or church foyer. How can it be perfect for both? Order the 2’x3′ copy for your study or office, then get this — order the 3′ x 5’4″ version for your church foyer or reception area! I’ve got one of these hanging in my office now (a prepublication release) and it’s beautiful. Global Mapping, is giving all the glory to God, but also mentioning that … “This masterpiece could not have been completed without the cooperative effort of a host of strategic partners, including SBC Foreign Mission Board, Summer Institute of Linguistics, Peoples Information Network, Adopt-A-People Clearinghouse, JESUS Film, Gospel Recordings, American Bible Society, WEC International, AD2000 & Beyond, ACMC, AIMS, Brigada, MAF, Campus Crusade for Christ, US Center for World Mission, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Ruth Foundation. In recognition of these stategic alliances, each of their logos are displayed on the map.”

So, now, for the first time, you have the opportunity to dramatically display the progress of world evangelization for all the peoples of the earth! And this map makes a glaring visual statement about the 10/40 window. Over seven thousand peoples (from Language Mapping System by SIL and GMI) are graphically displayed, each colored by one of five levels of evangelization (from the Southern Baptist’s Integrated Strategic Planning Database). The map also includes a pie chart showing population distribution by level of evangelization.

You can probably order the map from several distribution points — namely those mentioned above. But at this stage, Global Mapping is asking that you not call their switchboards and request one-at-a-time orders. In fact, at this point, the map isn’t even officially for sale! But each of the cooperating partners is able to compile pre-publication “group” orders. So you can order today… without having to pay anything down, and have your map delivered shortly after the first of June!

For those wishing to order as part of the Brigada family, simply email Mission Services Association at 102774dot1772atcompuservedotcom or call toll-free in the USA at 800-655-8524 (fax 423-577-9743). Make sure you tell them which size you’re requesting and how many. Until June 1st, the 24″x36″ size will be $10, delivered to USA addresses and the 36″x 64″ version will be $25, again to USA addresses – postage paid. (Ask for rates for your location.) If we don’t get the quantity for the price break, prices could go up some… but don’t worry. We will. These are landmark productions. Your office wall.. and your appreciation for peoples of the world will never again be the same. We have a church mobilization retreat scheduled for next weekend and I’m taking my copy to really push these things. I think when people walk into your church foyer and see the number of red people group polygons, they’ll realize what a priority world evangelization really needs. Go for it. Call MSA today. And by the way, in case you’re wondering, neither I nor Brigada make a single penny on these maps. No one is. These costs are just covering expenses for full color production and printing. Honest… get it… but don’t wait. These numbers have to be turned in on April 22, the day the maps go to press!

AD2000 & BEYOND CONTINUES TO EXPAND JOSHUA PROJECT MINI-PROFILES
For an example of the kind of links AD2000 & Beyond team members are adding, check out the Yanadi people of South India. Go to their web site at http://www.ad2000.org, select Joshua Project, then click on search by people, then click on “Y” then find Yanadi in the list. Be patient! Sometimes the server is under a heavy load and it takes a while to scroll 1700 peoples through!!! :-) But once you get to the Yanadi mini-profile, page down to the end and click on the other links to get an idea of the possibilities! There are rich color pictures of Yanadi people and an accompanying report from a recent pre-search trip made in concert with Joshua Project 2000.

CONFERENCE WATCH
Have you noticed the brigada-pubs-missionfrontiers conference lately? They’ve grown to include 767 participants, making it the largest sub-conference in the Brigada family. Global-prayer-digest, in hot pursuit, includes 409 subscribers. And in a close third place is the brigada-pubs-gcowenews conference, the channel we use to broadcast on-site consultation reports, like GCOWE’95 in Seoul last May. The channel is still active today for occasional news releases from the AD2000 & Beyond Movement and promises future consultation reports as well, currently with 345 participants and still growing! These and other conferences in the Brigada family — 61 in all — maintain file and message archival capabilities, meaning that even if you’re a late starter, you can still find out just about everything that’s ever happened on the conference by downloading the various archival files in the conference’s file storage area. WHERE HAVE ALL THE MISSIONARIES GONE?
World Evangelical Fellowship Missions Commission convenes April 9-13 ReMAP (Reducing Missionary Attrition Project) workshop on issues answering the crucial question, “Why are we losing so many good, long-term missionaries?” ReMAP (an historic study which searches out issues affecting both Western and non-Western missions) is coordinated by Latin American missions leader Rudy Giron (of COMIBAM), under the general direction of Bill Taylor, Director of the Missions Commission. Some 115 leaders from 35 nations will convene at historic All Nations Christian College in England. Peter Brierley, British director of Research Associates will report on the WEF/MC sponsored 13 nation attrition study, supported by 6 nation-specific reports. Then teams go to work under the guidance of WEF/MC staffer Jon Lewis of Argentina. Pray for God’s direction, the sense of the strategic nature of the workshop and sensitivity to not only identify causes of undesirable attrition, but also curative/preventive steps to be taken. For those wanting a report, write to Kathi Graham, WEF, at 103426dot1141atcompuservedotcom.

NEED YOUR MISSIONS PROJECT VIDEO’D???
Contact Bob Kelly at Mission Media Productions. They produce videos for and about missionaries. They do complete productions including shooting on-site, and edit for returning missionaries. They have worked with over thirty groups. They are presently planning trips for 1997 or possibly late 1996, if you are interested. For details, visit their web site http://www.seidata.com/~mmpi or contact Bob Kelly at mmpiatseidatadotcom or 821 392-2860.

I’VE GOTTA HAND IT TO YOU!
Now here’s a new approach. Rich Liedtke buys used hand tools at garage sales then sends them with work parties or missionaries traveling to the mission field. They are then given to the less fortunate or used in the mission. When asked about the success of his projects, Rich responded, “The tools are well received. (Mother Teresa thanked me for the tools sent recently to her mission work.) I am sending some to Mexico, Argentina and Tanzania in the coming months. I want to encourage others to copy this idea and do it with groups they are aware of. It gives great satisfaction.” Contact Rich at rkliedtkeatworldaccessdotcom.

GLOBAL GLIMPSE
CIS: In four years, 6 million New Testaments and pieces of Christian literature have been distributed in classrooms and 110,000 people have seen the Jesus film in the Commonwealth of Independent States. More than 125,000 have attended seminars on Biblical values, all this in a region which recently was officially atheistic and very restrictive of Christianity.

VIRUS ALERT!
Thanks to John Hanna, who forwarded a note originally by Mary Dickens, warning us to watch out for a virus named PKZIP300.ZIP. By its looks, it would appear on the outside to be an upgrade to the compression program, PKZip. But on the inside, it erases your entire hard drive. Bottom line: practice safe computing. Don’t unzip or execute programs until you’ve checked them with a virus checker and don’t take candy from strangers. :-) Thanks John.

FREE WEB SPACE
Among the providers of free web space these days is a network called GEN. Apparently, if you’re a nonprofit wanting free space, you must have an official membership of at least 200 individuals and must be willing to distribute a GEN brochure to each member at least once. Profit companies can buy a yearly membership (or monthly) with powerful features such as unlimited Web pages, unlimited hits, and unlimited autoresponders at no extra charge. For more information, contact Jim Spelman, jimsatlfadotcom, (614)784-0247

GLOBAL GLIMPSE FOR THIS WEEK
Middle East: An Egyptian Muslim young woman accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was given a Bible to read. She tried to hide it so no one would know that she was reading it. She went to a cedar chest in her mother’s bedroom and put it underneath all the clothes, but, to her amazement, she found another Bible already hidden there. Her mother was a secret Believer, and so thankful that after years of praying, her daughter came to the Lord.

REMEMBER THAT “HAVE CAMERA, WILL TRAVEL” GUY?
Well, Mike Scott wrote this past week to say, “I just wanted to thank you for the appearance in Brigada regarding photography. Due to Brigada I will be traveling and helping out mission agencies all over the world with photography.” The thing is, the guy’s a glutton for punishment!!! He’s still willing to travel with additional mission teams to do a ministry of photography for the team. Remember, his travel expenses can be built into the group’s budget, or he’ll try to raise them on his own… just write him at Mogulracerataoldotcom. Thanks Mike Scott!

NEED A TRAINER???
Ken Williams wrote to say,

“I’m really enjoying Brigada! Appreciate what y’all are doing for the Kingdom. I’m Ken Williams, with Wycliffe Bible Translators for nearly 39 years. My wife and I translated the N.T. for the Chuj people of Guatemala, then served as a counselor for 22 years. My current assignment is to help provide training for other missions. I live in Colorado Springs. I (and others I’ve trained) provide workshops for missionaries and missionary leaders, here in the Springs and elsewhere. We put on five-day Workshops in Interpersonal Skills twice a year here, and sometimes in other locations. We also have workshops for those working in missionary care, and for missionary trainers.
… God bless you, Ken Williams, Ph.D.”

If you’re interested, contact Ken at 74552dot1702atcompuservedotcom. Ken, we’ve used one of your training videos from Wycliffe for years! God bless!

WATCH FOR LAPTOP THEFT!
Overheard this past week on a Brigada sub-conference (on brigada-projects-training) was this caution: Laptop owners beware!!! They’re after you!!! One scam involves watching you just after you put your laptop on the conveyor belt. A partner thief steps in front of you, setting off the metal detector. During the delay, another partner picks up your computer bag on the other side and that’s the last of it! Also beware when in crowds. Thieves are apparently opening your case up “pick-pocket style” and walking off with the laptop!!! The other message here, folks, is to back up data!! Often!
