Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the planet. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t recall ever having voted for Al Gore. And no one in my family is a member of Greenpeace. But I believe there is a rising consciousness around the globe… a conscience-response related to the undeniable fact that, if we truly believe God created this world for His Glory, we ought to be a bit more conce
rned about managing it.
That’s one of the reasons I’m excited about the “Our Father’s World” retreat that will feature Ed Brown, of Care of Creation, on March 6th, 2010, at Emerald Hills (on the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky). You’ll learn straight from an expert — what kind of shape is our planet in, what can regular people do about it, how can churches and missions agencies get involved, and what are the potential ‘wins’ for all those entities. On top of all that, you can participate with the group in a prayer walk on one of the Emerald Hills prayer trails. Sounds like an adventure! I sure hope, though, that the recent bombshell of two weeks ago is thoroughly included in the expert analysis and corresponding agenda put forth.
The disclosure of countless emails between scientists, revealed bald-faced and unabashed invention of information, doctoring of data, suppression of facts which didn’t support their socialist political agenda, and an out-right, world-wide hoax called “Global Warming.” The whole thing is a Scam! From top to bottom, scientists to politicians, academicians to education, the world has been duped into bowing the knee before the idol of “Global Warming” and the doomsday predictions trumpeted all day long. The solution proffered is always the same – more taxes, more government regulation, less liberty, less opportunity for developing societies.
Frankly, this “green” movement presents the most ominous threat to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who’ve not yet heard.
Please ensure that your presenter(s) honestly expose this massive hoax, and don’t set forth an anti-evangelism agenda!
