Hands down — the best way I’ve found to record, share, and jointly pray for prayer requests is a patch of code written by the Prayer Engine. Find it at…

http://www.theprayerengine.com/

Use it to create a “Prayer Wall” (not unlike a social networking page like Facebook©). Your members can quickly submit a prayer request, which is then easily moderated by a volunteer in your church or organization.

See it implemented at the Team Expansion site at:

http://www.teamexpansion.org/prayerwall

Visitors to your Prayer Wall can easily make note of the fact that they prayed for a specific request (the code automatically keeps track of how many times the request has been addressed to the Father), and it will even send an email to the person submitting it, if desired. Beats “phone chains” to pieces… and it’s available for a one-time fee of $100. That’s it. Your website developer will have it installed about 15 minutes later. (We’d recommend it no matter what; but if you explain that you heard about it via Doug Lucas on Brigada, who knows; maybe they’ll at least pray for us… and maybe even send a gift! :-) ) They set up an affiliate program for us, but… alas,… it’s too difficult to use. They wanted users to go to

I think it’s probably too much of a hassle. But the PrayerEngine thing is not. It’s great. Hope it helps you. (By the way, thanks to Dave for originally showing me this great patch.)
