December 26th, 2010 · 8 Comments

If you work with one, he or she (the American) probably drives you crazy. If you are one, then everyone else probably drives you crazy.

:-) Bottom line, everybody will probably benefit in one way or another. Acclaimed for being “a good resource for those working with international students, refugees, or other foreigners in the US. And also good for Americans to better understand our own quirks. See it at…

Get it printed, or on Kindle.

Lissa, our correspondent in Uganda, found this listing (Thanks for the recommendation, Lissa. It looks great!)

[Note: This book was free on Kindle for a time. This item has been edited to reflect the fact that this special deal is no longer being offered by Amazon.]

If you don’t have a Kindle, you can download Kindle for my PC, and download the book onto your computer. With a netbook not much bigger than a Kindle, I don’t see the point in spending that much money for a unit that only does one thing (even if it does do that thing very well)!

There are also Kindle reader apps for the Mac and iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. My wife and I use our iDevices for reading. Our daughter just bought a Kindle and they are **REALLY** nice for reading.

If I click thru to Amazon I get a Kindle price of $13.75, wish it was really free althjough there is a hint that it is ~271 on Kindle free list, but I can’t find it.

the link turns up the Brigada Our sponsors page. I’ve tried it twice!

As was mentioned in another comment, the link just takes you to the Brigada sponsor page and the Amazon link takes you to the Kindle edition page for the book, but it is about 10 bucks. Sometimes Amazon will offer a Kindle book free for a short period of time and then it will go back to the regular price. That might be the case here or are we missing something. Sounds like an interesting book either way. I think I might recommend it to our exchange student.

    Checking this….

Right… Fixed the link (not sure what had happened there) and edited the item. This “deal” must have been a limited-time offer only. Amazon blinked — and now it’s gone.
