In a simplistic statement the church’s role is to make disciples who make disciples. If churches do this well, some will respond to
the call to make disciples in a cross-cultural setting. Future Missionaries teaches, through a learning community approach, the necessary information to equip the missions leadership of a local church how to mentor potential missionary candidates. Leadership from eight church-month period for equipping on intentional discipleship practices. Taught by Greg Carter, author of Skills, Knowledge, Character: A Church-Based Approach to Missionary Candidate Preparation, and guest instructors. The Chicagoland learning community launches in January, 2015; Minneapolis in April, 2015. Other metro areas in consideration.
