1) Finally, an online course to learn how to raise support!

relationalfundraising-logo-woordmerk-slogan-rgb-print-qualityAnd for now it’s donation only, no required payment. It was designed by a veteran missionary (Terry, a wife and mother) from Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for YWAM, but it is applicable to anyone from any organization as well as from any culture.

Its biblical foundation and spiritual approach will encourage and equip you to build a team of ministry partners to fund your ministry. Check it out via her website which will lead you to the course:

2) On-The-Fly Prayer Card Prep at JoshuaProject.net

Are you planning a special emphasis on a particular country, region, or other special group within the Joshua Project list of unreached peoples? Well now you can print handy-dandy prayer cards focused on the particular select set you’re trying to feature. Just start here…

Arrange the filters at the top of the page then click “list” at the bottom of the box. Once you get your list the way you like it (with a manageable number… say… a few hundred?), click “prayer cards.” Bam. The new sub-routine will automatically prepare a PDF printable document with handy prayer cards focused on your select set. Thank you Dan and all the folks at JoshuaProject.net! (I recently decided I’d send them a $100 gift because they’re making available all this stuff for free, as a labor of love. They were GREATLY appreciative. Please consider doing the same if you have some extra pesos. And that’s completely unsolicited. They’re just great people doing a great work.)

5) How does your Garden Grow? This Group can Help

Growing Gardens For Life International comes alongside orphanages and group homes, teaching the children how to see the character of God with classes then using gardens and orchards for a laboratory. They are a 3 year, USA tax exempt organization with their beta site completely independent after 2 years and 6 other sites in process in northern Mexico. Check them out at

and then contact Jon at either jonatgrowinggardensforlifedotorg or call him at 1.425.330.0433. You and a lot of children will be glad you did.

6) For Those Coming Home from the Field

651CH Coming Home 2014 coverinddDon’t forget our 3 tried-and-true 14 day devotional Bible studies with focused reentry questions (with Lisa Espinelli Chinns’ input). They’re great help for personal help in the reentry process. Some organizations have done “custom” editions with their logo and comments on the first page. They then provide these to their returnees.

7) TESOL Training in Chiang Mai

tesolNeed training in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages? The next course in Chiang Mai is November 9 – December 11. Asia’s Center for TESOL conducts these intensive, five-week courses leading to a TESOL certificate. For the first three weeks the classes are Monday-Friday, 8-4. For the last two weeks, the classes are 8-12, followed by a two-hour practicum in the afternoon or evening. This totals 120 hours in class and 20 hours of practicum (10 hours observing and 10 hours teaching). Contact Kathy for application forms or more information:
