1) Security Seminar for Faith Based Organizations

This is your last chance to sign up for the upcoming Travel Security Seminar by Morton Security Solutions in Northern California, before it
kicks off on October 16, 2015. If you are interested in realistic and relevant safety and security training for short term and long term missions, then you should attend this seminar. Speakers include Scott Brawner the founder and director of Concilium and appointed founder of the faith-based working group at the State Department as well as Morton’s team of trained security and intelligence professionals. Experience realistic scenario based training in the field (that don’t always end in kidnapping, i.e. realistic) and empower yourself and your organization to deal with a variety of crisis situations as they arise. Seats are filling up fast and there is a deadline of September 1st. For more info go to

3) Are you a missions-minded Mobile App Developer?

Here’s a group looking for a missions minded mobile app developer to participate in a mission focused for-profit startup, preferably with live code and either Android or iOS. They have an app under development that would be improved with someone who has brought an app to completion, but not necessary. The long term goal is to have a mission minded for-profit business, resulting in most if not all the profits being used for Bible translation and tools for studying the word.

11) Six Phases of a Growing Participator Approach to Language Learning

Curious as to what it would look like to learn language using a GPA study model? Check out this page with 6 ideal phases:

I’d love for a GPA learner to jump in and hit “comment” immediately following the web version of this item. Did it work for you this way? Would you? (if so — thanks!)

14) The BackPage: Sign up for the Moravian Texts… and an Idea

moravianRecently, we discovered the Moravian Texts. See a sample (today’s text) here…

Learn more about them at…

And, if you like, sign up to receive them in email form, here:

But they gave us an idea: How does your group, church, or org maintain its identity? In what way are you remembering your history, your DNA, and your ethos? The Moravians remember their past DAILY with this text. They celebrate who they are by remembering the Word. What about you? How does YOUR group do the same? Please click comment after the web version of this item. And — no matter what — the Moravian Texts are a great example of a living, breathing “read through the Bible in a year” plan that will keep on reminding you all year long. Thank you Moravians!
