This past week, I (Doug) was in a planning meeting with missions mobilizers and one of them referred to meetup.com. I’ll have to admit, I hadn’t heard of the service before, nor would I have put 2 and 2 together to think of it as a possible tool for finding “persons of peace” who might be in the mood to hear the gospel. But it does indeed have some of the right stuff: People who visit the service are already seeking to form new relationships, they’re looking for something, and they’re expecting their life is about to change. They are even willing to pay a fee to find out about some new community that might bring them excitement or fulfillment. So let’s check out the possibilities there. And who knows what God will do. Your thoughts?

We have used that service to set up local evangelistic meetings, to meet up with local ex M uslims and interact with M uslim groups.
