What does it cost to fly from the US Embassy in Kabul over to the airport? As of next year, $2250. Yes, that’s actually more expensive than the $1850 flight from Washington DC to Kabul. But, as you’ll see in the article, that’s what DynCorp needs to make sure the ride is safe. (And since it’s too dangerous to make the three-mile DRIVE any longer, chopper shuttles are the only way.)
