1) Loving Catholics by Sharing Renewal and Outreach Resources

Are you trying to love a Catholic by sharing renewal and message resources with them? Here’s a website designed just for you. It’s loaded with lots of different ways you can show the best love and encouragement for a Catholic friend. As you know, many Catholics are very eager to step up their faith-walk if we’ll just walk alongside them. At this site, there are books, booklets, tracts, websites, online articles, audio, dvds, online videos, and more. Some of the resources are in Spanish.

2) Free Tutorials On Office 365 For Your Ministry Team

Learn how to efficiently collaborate with your ministry team using the powerful Office 365 apps from Microsoft. Our colleagues at Christian Ministry Academy have just published 40 free over-the-shoulder video tutorials on how to master Office 365. Get these at no cost here:

https://www.christianministryacademy.org/p/Office365

Wow — these look like a great giveaway for a very small sign-up commitment from a ministry we’ve all come to know and in whom we all have confidence. Great resource. If you’re an Office 365 user, we recommend that you RUN not walk to start watching these.

5) We’re Writing a Response to This Critique of DMM. Will You Help?

We’d love to put together a thoughtful response to the critique on DMM at…

https://radiusinternational.org/a-brief-guide-to-dmm/

Would you help us prepare that? Please pick out a topic or paragraph and write a thoughtful response, either biblically or experientially-based. We’ll of course credit you with the thought. Thanks for taking time to response. Just click “Comment” following the web or app version of this item.

6) You Thought YOU Had it Bad (Worst Missions Conference Ever)

Misery loves company. Just when you thought YOUR worst missions conference story took the cake, you find out “it can be worse.” One worker (David) wrote that a certain pastor called him “almost weekly for three months to say how excited he was that we were coming to speak at his church. We arrived on the designated Sunday and he met me in the parking lot. ‘This church is 150 years old and has never given a dime to missions. I want you to really let them have it!’ he said. Then he added, ‘Oh, and by the way I am announcing my resignation today.’
For some reason, people didn’t seem impacted by what I had to say…

Hilarious — and sad — all at the same time. Thanks for sharing David.

By the way, if you have a “worst missions conference” story to add, please drop it into a Comment box at…

7) In this Day and Age When it’s Tough to Find Great News Sources..

If you’re like I am, I long to find good unbiased news. Previously, I mainly listened to my parents. They new all the news that was fit to tell. But now that they’ve passed away, where should I turn? Seriously, I’ve been hearing a lot of people refer to this Apple News deal now. Have you been using it? I’ll admit. I’ve been slow to consider it. For some reason, I assumed it was some kind of marketing tool — or maybe something that would have Facebook-type news. (Cats in a dryer or something like that.) But apparently it’s the real deal?

(Thanks for the tip, Shawn.)

9) TESOL Training in Asia

Now you can get TESOL training designed for those in ministry set at a ministry budget. Asean Center for TESOL offers an intensive, five-week course leading to a TESOL certificate in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Get classes, community experience, and lots of guidance – and a certificate – all at the same time. And it’s cheaper to fly out and take this course than it is to take the same course in N.A.! 11) Thrive Retreat in Ghana for Women Serving Overseas

…$20 from a friend who was looking for a way to marry a map with a database. He mentioned his need in Brigada and received “several helpful responses.” He sent $20 completely out of the blue, testifying, “I love it when the body – and in this case, different missions organizations, collaborate for the sake of the Kingdom.” God be praised.

…$25 from StarTrust Communications, a group that wants to help connect others to great training resources. We appreciate you StarTrust!

…$50 from a person who longs to see Catholics and all others become all the more engaged with Christ. We appreciate you!

14) The Last Bit: Lots of Buzz About Training “Hubs”

Are you hearing it too? We’re picking up lots of buzz about training hubs. We first heard it introduced just over a year ago at a conference designed to connect those who were working in Indonesia. The buzz has only increased over the past year. 24:14 calls them “CPM Hubs.” explaining that they are “experiential learning environments in movement catalyzation that allow learners to see fruitfulness in a shorter amount of time.” Apparently, these hubs are on the rise all over the globe. 24:14 is one of the groups promoting this concept. They describe a 4-phase hub process to see missionary candidates trained & deployed towards catalyzing movements that start other movements. For example, see this PDF document:

Could these training hubs help us get CPM/DMM training off the page and onto our feet and hands? What’s your take on them? Please click “Comment” after the web or app version of this item. Thanks for any feedback you might give.
