2) Missionary Marriage Issues: Free Download

Marriage is complicated enough! Then when you add a cross-cultural living situation and a cross-cultural ministry, things begin to get really confusing.   The nineteen chapters in “Missionary Marriage Issues” will help you navigate your way through the confusion.  The book is available to download free of charge as .doc, .pdf, or .zip files for your computer and as .mobi or .epub files for your Kindle or Nook. You can’t beat the price. Find it at…

4) Global City is Offering this Unique Opportunity in Dallas

Here’s a unique opportunity for a person with an interest in diaspora and immigrant populations in a place like Dallas/Fort Worth. Global City has teamed with a local church to offer a base salary and a particular approach with immigrants. If you might consider such an opportunity, write

jaredlooneyatglobalcitymissiondotorg  (jaredlooneyatglobalcitymissiondotorg)

for a ministry description and more details. (Thanks Andrew!)

5) Disciple-Making Movements in English and Spanish

IWMC2019 will be offering DMM Training in English and Spanish in Lenexa, KS, April 29 – 30, 2019. In the presence of coach practitioners, each attendee will have a chance not only to learn the fundamental principles of multiplicative disciple-making but also assess their current situations and see how they can both fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Find registration info at

6) How to Print Joshua Project Unreached People Group Profiles

For those who were wondering how to print UPG profiles at Joshua Project (mentioned in our last edition at…

www.brigada.org/2019/02/24_25802 )

First, search for the unreached people group in which you are interested. Once you’ve found it, just look in the upper right of the page for the “printer” icon. When you click that icon, you’ll be given a chance to print the profile. It’s that simple.

8) Check out "Missional Living" in Knoxville, TN

Will your upcoming home service take you close to Knoxville, TN, in the USA? If so, you might want to check out Missional Living. They are a hub for Righteous Rides for transportation during furlough. Minimum booking is 3 months at a rate of $13/day.  They also have a car that is available for those staying on the Knoxville area for local travel only. For the housing ministry, they have 7 host homes (hoping to grow to 10 in 2019). These houses are scattered throughout the Knoxville and surrounding areas. The rate for these homes vary depending on size and requested length of stay, but average at $15/day. Most of our housing requests are 2 months to one year. Find them at…

(Thanks Mitzi and Jenny!)

Organizers will introduce the training. They will also be looking for people whom God is raising up to help lead the Zúme project in Canada. 14) The Last Bit: Barna’s "Reviving Evangelism" Study is Disturbing

This past week, I (Doug) read through every word of Barna’s report on the “Reviving Evangelism” survey results. In a word, it’s a disturbing commentary. According to their data, nearly half of Millennial practicing Christians say it is wrong to evangelize (47%). Almost two in five practicing Christians (of all ages) say they have no non-Christian friends or family members (30%). More than half of all practicing Christians report having two or fewer conversations about faith in past year (56%). Overall, the study revealed a general erosion in understanding and motivation for evangelism, especially in the hearts and mind of younger generations. Where have we gone wrong? The study tries to guess (making it clear that they’re only guessing). To us, these are some of the most disturbing trends of our day. We could probably survive if political figures stop treating one another with adequate civility. The truth is — we shouldn’t fixate on saving faith for the next generation. But if, as the years tick by, we “forget” (or stop caring) about evangelizing (as it appears we are) and if, in the process, we forget how to tell the Good News (as it appears we are), we would be placing the Kingdom of God in a precarious position. What do YOU think we should do about the study? How would YOU guess we respond?
