| 3/28/2008 | Here's a Brigada reader serving the Lord as a missionary with ABWE in Brazil, enclosing a note that reads, "when I see a resource on Brigada that I think will be useful to someone, I pass it on. Thanks so much!". She anonymously enclosed $50 from her heart. That's what keeps us going in the middle of the night sometimes, sending out these Brigada Todays... because it's obvious that some people want to jump in there and partner with us to make this happen. How can we ever quit? One friend from Arkansas sent $2.49 (we greatly appreciate all sizes of gifts!). His wife and he work in Central Europe among the Roma people (gypsies). This gift was leftover in his PayPal account from a sale on eBay. Great idea. Some faithful friends at OMF's office in Denver sent $200. We're bowled over by their partnership. Another reader from Topeka sent $50 more. Having lost a son-in-law this past year, he also enclosed the items above on grief. We also received a $25 gift from a Michigan Criminal Defense Lawyer. See the URL at http://www.michigandefenselaw.com/ Another $25 came from a Wycliffe worker. He hoped his gift would prompt others in Wycliffe to match him. A reader from Oregon gave $100. Now I know why they call it the *Great* Pacific Northwest! Thanks to "ICE" for the $50 gift. They wrote, "The International Council of Ethnodoxologists (ICE) -- a network for culturally appropriate Christian worship -- has been delighted to partner with Brigada from our very inception. Because we are a non-profit ministry, Brigada has been the primary way that we could afford to spread the news about our most significant events and services. You are a unique and irreplaceable partner in ministry, and we are grateful beyond words for your faithfulness." (Learn more about them by reading the item in the #1 spot above.) Thanks also to the Canadian who gave $100! |
| 3/7/2008 | Hats off to NMSI for their amazing gift! New Mission Systems Int'l is one of the fastest-growing mission organizations on the planet. They also happen to constantly be ranked as on of the Best Christian Organizations with which to work. What's more, they're based in Fort Myers, FL, a great place to train. Finally, they just freely made a $1000 gift to Brigada. That alone merits a stop by their page. [grin] But seriously... 170 missionaries, 24 countries, and counting. Even if you're just curious about them -- why they're growing when other orgs have stagnated? To learn more, just stop by and see their fresh & creative, community-based approach at work. You'll be glad you did. (Thanks Phil! God bless you and your entire organization!) |
| 2/29/2008 | Thanks to COSIM, who, via Partners Int'l, sent $100 to help keep Brigada going strong throughout 2008! And hats off to the individual from Newtown, PA, who sent $35, along with the missions pastor from Allentown, PA, who sent $50. Thanks, too, to Insurance Services of America (ISA) who sent $33.20 for int'l travelers Stephen, Lucy, Annami, Geraldn, David an Deidre. We appreciate you!!! |
| 2/22/2008 | Hats *way* off to the member of an International Church in the Middle East. He just wrote, "Five years ago our new pastor was reading Brigada and learned about the Missional International Church Network (MICN.org) and went to their first conference. He's been to each annual conference since then. MICN has given him ideas and encouragement and likeminded friends. Brigada has impacted our pastor and many members of our multicultural congregation. Keep up the Kingdom work!" This gentleman made big history in the Brigada world this past week, when, with hopes of encouraging Brigada onward, he sent a gift of $1,000!!!!!!! Do you realize? ... That's like... incredible. So thanks to all those who labor and encourage. And by the way, you'll recall that once we make our financial goal for the year, we're done. With this gift, the total jumps way up, and with the two donations we also rec'd this past week (one for $20 from Oklahoma and another for $25 Colorado), the total for 2008 is growing! |
| 2/15/2008 | We appreciate Clowns4Him... http://www.clowns4him.com for their recent sponsorship of Brigada to the tune of $100. We also appreciated the $25 gift from Abelson Law Firm at http://www.attorneysfortheinjured.com Be sure to check them out if you need help from a good lawyer with a Great Commission heart. |
| 2/8/2008 | This week we're thankful for a family in Cambridge, MN, because they've remembered Brigada with a $15 gift. As mentioned above, ISA sent $161.54 with thanks for referring recent travelers. Blessed Hope sent $13.25 in thanks for Darlene, Ken, Ed, Richard, Steve, and Hurley -- who were all making phone calls through Blessed Hope this past month. (Please keep talking! :-) ) |
| 2/1/2008 | Thanks to Kingdom Come Training http://www.kingdomcometraining.com for the $60 gift they sent recently. What an encouragement. Thanks, too, goes to The Ableson Law Firm in Washington D.C. http://www.attorneysforpeople.com If you need an attorney in the DC area, we hope you'll check them out. We also received $20 from GLOBAL Opportunities. They were pre-paying a tithe of the registration money they hoped to gather from registrations to their Florida Tentmaking Course, Feb 20-24. (I know for a fact that our Outreach Director and his wife went to it from here at Team Expansion. I hope they picked up at least two others! :-) ) Finally, an anonymous reader from the Missions Resource Network, in the great state of Texas, sent $100. Bowled us over. Thank you so much!!! See their upcoming conferences and learn about their teams in preparation. |
| 1/25/2008 | We give Him the glory for the fact that a great new friend in Barbados gave $25. A family from St. Louis gave $100, another from Norman (OK) gave $100 more, and $35 came in from Little Rock, AR. We also received $25 from a worker at

| 11/30/2007 | I'll have to admit... it's an amazing feeling of encouragement and motivation when Brigada receives gifts such as a $500 push from a member of Arab World Ministries. Isn't it kind of ironic that the people who work in some of the toughest places on earth end up with some of the least kudos, partly because they can't even tell people about their progress? Think about it. When they start being really successful, that's when they could get in the biggest trouble! So here's a big prayer of thanks for *all* those who are working in the dry places on earth... in the spiritually parched portions of the planet. Please take this opportunity, on behalf of *all* of them, to offer up a prayer of thanks for those who labor in Jesus- darkness, with hopes of being able to live as a still small voice on behalf of a loving savior. Thanks, too, to Peninsula Bible Church in Cupertino, California! $200 will go a *long* way... a *very* long way, in fact, toward helping us finish 2007 strong! Thank you!!! |
| 11/23/2007 | We *so* appreciate our dear brother in Sweden who came back in 2007 to give $100, and another anonymous couple out East sent $50. Finally -- and get this -- we received a $300 donation from WorldconneX Mission Network at http://www.worldconnex.org Expect to hear more later on them. |

|
| 9/21/2007 | When we received the $25 gift from a Wycliffe worker, we were overjoyed. On top of that, enough of you talked on the phone in July and August that Dial-Abroad could send $105.38 in sponsored commissions! Thanks for talking! If you'd like to set up a similar account, just browse to: http://www.dial-abroad.org/brigada.htm Use that site to set up your phone bill, buy travel phone cards, and help Brigada all at the same time. Join us in thanking God for the prayer coordinator who sacrificially gave $25 more dollars to Brigada. Her gift will help us push the gospel message forward -- and provide resources for others doing the same. And what about the good folks at the church in Joplin, MO that used ISA to purchase their trip cancellation insurance? $162.24! We're so thankful. To purchase your trip insurance at below market rates and help Brigada too, just click to: http://www.missionaryhealth.net/brigada.htm Finally, we're so thankful for the Brigada participant who wrote, "Hi guys. I've just been sitting here reading all the 'catch-up' issues of Brigada. What a wealth of information and opportunities. ... I am always encouraged... I am an ex-YWAMer... My heart is divided between being a 'goer' and a 'mobilizer.' So as you can see, Brigada is the perfect vehicle for me to keep a foot in both areas. ... I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into keeping all of us informed. What you do *does* make a difference. ... I pray God will supply your needs to continue this ministry." Whoa. Sobering and encouraging... Thanks for the booster shot of $100!!!
|
| 9/14/2007 | We're humbled and encouraged by the gifts we receive from new friends of Brigada. This past week, we received $25 from MissionTravel.org. They wrote, " Thank you for leading the way to equip believers serving in the missions community. We are happy to help in this way as you advance His kingdom. God bless, MissionTravel.org owners." If you don't mind, please give them a try in the near future, if at all possible. Thanks! http://www.missiontravel.org |
| 7/13/2007 | A Missions Minister wrote, this past week, "I'm a missions minister that is very grateful for the wonderful service you provide through Brigada. | 7/6/2007 | We are so grateful for those who take initiative to encourage us with a financial gift to help with our expenses and spur us on toward the future. We are supported missionaries, serving with Team Expansion, based in Louisville, KY. We appreciate the funding for our ministry, which also includes, for Brigada, expenses in webhosting, some small marketing projects, secretarial costs, as well as projects for world evangelism. Nothing is wasted. This past week, we rec'd a $25 from a booster in Arkansas. (Thanks!) |
| 6/29/2007 | This past week, we rec'd a $180 gift from a very active worker with an interest in Asia. We praise God for his efforts. We also rec'd $20 from an anonymous staff member of Studio TEN Ministries. Dial-abroad pitched in another $38.70. |
| 6/15/2007 | We appreciate the anonymous donor from Oklahoma who sent $67. That was an incredible encouragement. Thanks, too, to the anonymous Brigada participant from Oregon who just set up a $10/month regular gift for our expenses here... and to encourage us on into tomorrow. We put the money toward webhosting, some small marketing projects, secretarial costs, as well as projects for world evangelism. Nothing is wasted. So when we receive $10 from a fellow from Oregon, it can accomplish a lot at Brigada. Thank you!!! |
| 6/8/2007 | We have to thank our Dial-Abroad long distance users, whose long-distance phone conversations enabled Dial-Abroad to send us $213.16 as sponsorship for the last 4 months phone use. Thanks guys! If you have to purchase a long distance service from somebody anyway, why not use Dial-Abroad and recycle free money to Brigada! Just click to: http://www.dial-abroad.org/brigada.htm Another anonymous user just sent $180 as encouragement toward the work. Whoa. Thanks! |
| 6/1/2007 | Thanks to the YWAMmers from the far North who sent $50 to enable more work from Brigada! We appreciate you. Thanks to the other friend who sent $100 -- same story - - long-time Brigada reader who just wanted to say thanks. What an honor to serve him. Another $100 came from Alameda, CA. Praise be to God. And finally, thanks to the missions-oriented church on the East Coast who sent $500 to undergird our work here and keep Brigada going out the door. Inspirational and humbling -- that's what that is. They added that they had been getting Brigada since nearly the very beginning. What an encouragement. Thank you so much. |
| 5/11/2007 | Thanks to Blessed Hope for its support of Brigada -- $10.23 worth of sponsorships this past week as a result of Brigada patrons using their service! Thank you! If you'd like to line up some top-quality phone service at a great price, while helping Brigada pump out resources to the nations, browse to: http://www.lowermyphonebill.com/brigada Meanwhile, Mission Nannys chipped in $100 more, commenting that Brigada had helped them increase news and exposure to their ministry. See... Thank you Betty and staff! Finally, we're incredibly grateful this week to 2 relatively new Brigada participants who wrote, "We just want to thank you for your ministry. ... God is using your ministry in might ways. Thank you for striving to build community among like-minded folks." They added, "My husband and I are looking for a new church and felt led to tithe our money for the month to Brigada. Please accept our offering and I pray that God will use it to increase fruit at Brigada. Keep up the good work!" They sent a check for $500. Gulp. Thank you for your kindness and encouragement!!! It's sobering to think that it would only take 30 more individuals like them, giving their tithe for just 1 month of the year! Then Brigada would be funded for the entire year and we'd never mention finances again 'til January 2008!!!! |
| 5/4/2007 | Thanks to the anonymous donor from Equip, Inc. http://www.equipinternational.com who gave $150 this past week to undergird Brigada! |

If you need long-distance services, please consider... |
| 3/9/2007 | WE OWE THANKS TO... -- Insurance Services of America (ISA) for a $17.30 gift that resulted from a person buying a travelers' insurance policy. Hey... let's just talk turkey here: if every Brigada Today participant merely bought travel interruption insurance from ISA, the truth is, just that alone would probably take care of the small amount of funds we need to break even. Learn more about ISA's plans at: http://www.missionaryhealth.net/brigada.htm Thanks, too, to Clowns4Him http://www.clowns4him.com/ for recently sharing $100, with this comment: "We appreciate Brigada and the diversity of information that is delivered online to us." | 2/23/2007 | Thanks to recent Brigada donors which included $21.20 from Blessed Hope, a Christian owned US long distance service with cheap rates for people living in the USA. | 2/16/2007 | THANKS FOR THE PARTNERSHIP -- Thanks to the pair of Team Expansion missionaries in Bosnia who sent $100 for Brigada. Feel the love! They affirmed an encouragement that keeps us writing. The Balkans have spoken! What about your region of the world? Can you match their encouragement? |
| 2/9/2007 | INDEBTED TO PARTNERS -- Thanks to those who make Brigada happen through their prayers and financial partnership. This past week, Good News Productions stoked the fire with a $100 gift. Learn more about their ministry of media development and distribution at: http://gnpi.org/ . Insurance Services of America added fuel by sending sponsorship gifts in the name of Jason and Jon, who each had purchased insurance with them. So ISA promptly sent $20.95 in their name. It's that simple. Purchase an insurance policy or trip interruption insurance with ISA and they'll immediately help Brigada. Learn more at http://www.missionaryhealth.net/brigada.htm Note that you must use this link or *tell* them in order for the sponsorship to happen. Thanks! |
