12) New Year’s Brigada Is Coming: How Are You Tracking Your Goals?

12) New Year’s Brigada Is Coming: How Are You Tracking Your Goals?

Did everyone at your agency or church make the joke about having a “2020 vision?” Did you write one? If so, the big question for Brigada next week is — how are you TRACKING those goals throughout the year. Shew — Strategic Plans are kind of difficult, aren’t they? (In fact, some pundits are going so far as to say they are *dead*.) How will you set goals and track outcomes in 2020? Are you using software? Quarterly reviews? Monthly reminders? Some kind of dashboard or scorecard? Please comment on your approach. We’ll try to pull together a “best of the best” comments for next edition. But in the meantime, Brigada readers will see your comments real-time, as you make them. Feel free to respond anonymously. Thanks for your input!

14) The Last Bit: “You Reign” Helps Us Review/Pray for the Year

OK — We’re not gonna’ lie. Every year, when PrayerCast comes out with this “You Reign” video, we look forward to seeing what will be in it. We look forward to reviewing the year in one single pass. For some reason, it helps us put the entire globe — and all of its insanity — into perspective, when we realize… God was there all along, all year long. 1) What if You Only Had Two More Weeks to Help Brigada? Yikes. : )

1) What if You Only Had Two More Weeks to Help Brigada? Yikes. : )

What if you knew that — throughout all of 2019, friends of Brigada had kicked in a tremendous total of $13,746… which is super-awesome… but just $3253 short of the annual operating budget of $17,000? This $17K provides the costs for the website – which is being totally refreshed these days, by the way, including servers, search engines, security licenses, spam preventive measures, the costs of the weekly email sending service (this item alone is $2100 per year), a part-time assistant, and more. What if you had waited, just to see what others would do, and then you realized… Yikes… there are only two more weeks to make up this last mile? What if you realized, “Wow… my peers have kicked in $13K and I haven’t chipped in a dime?” What if you knew that this person in Thailand gave $12. Twelve dollars. For an entire year’s worth of weekly missions mobilization, information, trends, and more. What if Brigada did nothing more than remind and wake up a world (fast falling asleep) that it *matters* that we finish the task? What if you dedicated your gift to helping that person in Thailand receive just one more edition of Brigada? Would you chip in $12 like this friend in Thailand did? Would you become a “True Fan” of Brigada by contributing $100? If just 32 people were able to make an offering to Jesus of $100, we’d be done — and we wouldn’t say another word about operating costs for an entire year. All you have to do is click to www.Brigada.org and fill in a 2-minute form. Skip a few cups of coffee. Say, to the world, that reaching the world matters. Thank you for considering Brigada in your year-end generosity. God bless you.

4) These PrayerCast People Have Done It Again: Cities — like Delhi

4) These PrayerCast People Have Done It Again: Cities — like Delhi

We have to say, once again — these PrayerCast people are the real deal. Have you seen (are you seeing) their latest series on “Key Cities?” Check out, for example, the most recent video on Delhi.

www.prayercast.com/delhi.html

The cinematography is amazing. The scenes are unforgetable. And the opportunity to pray is compelling. This four-minute video can SURELY make it into an upcoming Sunday morning “Moment of Prayer for the World” in your church, right? Just play the video, then maybe ask a passionate church member to lift up Delhi in a one-minute closing. You could do an entire series of spotlights on key cities in the world. Your church will love it and they won’t stop talkiong about how relevant you are as leaders. Please give it a try.

5) Here’s a Free Skit (a Missions Drama) for Your Teens to Learn

Maybe they can present it at the missions rally you’re staging just 3 months from now. And then maybe they can use it on that short-term missions trip they’ll be taking nest summer. It’s free. It’s impactful. And they’ll learn everything they need to know from this training and demonstration video from the folks at missions.me (thank you!). Complete with music from Skillet.

6) How to Read Brigada’s New Website (a.k.a. “Rock Brigada”)

6) How to Read Brigada’s New Website (a.k.a. “Rock Brigada”)

Brigada has gone to great lengths to find a unique way to allow you to rapidly process the items you want to see in the quickest way possible on any device — laptop, tablet or phone. The summary statement for the new web-based approach is — “Rock Brigada,” and we hope it will have you saying, “Brigada rocks!” All you have to do is this: When the latest edition of Brigada arrives in your inbox (which we all know arrives at exactly the same moment in time every week, right? Oops), just click to the website and read Brigada there instead of in scanning the email. Why? Because at the website, you can Rock. What do we mean by this? The table of contents is linked to the item posts below. If you see an item you’d like to explore, just click on the line in the table of contents and the website will quickly scroll you down to view the entire item — in one click. Scan/read the item, then look along the right side of the page for the “up arrow” scrolls you quickly back up to the table of contents. Rinse and repeat for any (all!) of the items you’d like to explore. (Please pay particular attention to the item about helping Brigada finish the year in the black, by the way! : ) ) Using this click-and-return reading approach will remind you of rocking down then back up throughout the entire edition, one item at a time. Note that the entire edition has the illusion of feeling as if you’re on one page — even though you’re actually viewing an entire database of current items. But you don’t have to click and wait for anything to whirr and spin. It all happens instantly once the page loads. For all these reasons and more, we hope you, too, will visit the newly-designed website and “Rock Brigada!”
