Why? Because it would just… be… WRONG to do so. At least that’s what a new Barna poll found. In spite of feeling equipped to do so, nearly half of them won’t – because they think it’s wrong to share one’s personal beliefs with someone of a different faith in hopes that they will one day share the same faith. 7) Get Comprehensive Healthcare from Missio Benefits
Our org has always wanted to offer a comprehensive, yet affordable group health plan, organization-wide. The problem was, with just 300 missionaries or so, our census was never big enough to make it affordable enough to be practical. At least — not until now, we hope. (Although we’re still trying to digest all the details.) This past week, Missio Nexus went public with their new group health plan. The idea (which they made public at last fall’s conference) was to pull together enough organizations that the census became big enough that orgs could finally average out all the medical problems with big enough org charts globally. We (Doug) remember when our org first started in Venezuela in 1986. Escalators, high-rises, high society… We might have imagined that we were working in a Latin American version of Miami. But lately, it feels a lot more like the Soviet Union in 1991, right before the wall fell. Food lines, political wrangling, and, in general, mayhem. Of course, that review is a couple of years old. The newest reviews have gotten even better for Signal, especially the MOST recent reviews, which are concerned about what’s up with WhatsApp, now that Facebook owns it and is planning to integrate it with (what????) Instagram?
