12) Wondering How to Pray for Third-Culture Kids (MK’s)? Try This:

Lauren Wells has done all of us a good favor by compiling the resources at “GRIT: A Guide to Praying for Third Culture Kids.” Through stories and illustrations, she explains and instructs us regarding the struggles and victories of being an “MK.” She concludes, “Nothing has taught me more about the power of prayer than seeing the effects of intercession in my life and in the lives of so many other TCKs.” Read it and drink it in…

(Thanks for bubbling this up to us, Betty!)

13) We’re Grateful for…

…a $100 gift from Mission Network, with a note that said, “Praising God for your Ministry.”
…a $20 gift from a long-time reader of Brigada. God bless you!!!

14) Let’s Pray for Yemen Like Never Before

In the last few days, we are seeing mounting pressure from the US government toward the warring sides in Yemen. It feels like there are some officials in the US State Department that have finally heard the cries of a myriad of suffering families there. Now is the time to double down and pray like never before. Please read articles like this one…

and watch videos like this one…

https://prayercast.com/yemen.html

Please help us spread the word and ask churches, groups, families, and individuals everywhere to pray for a difference in Yemen… that the fighting would stop, that the one-million suffering without food would find solace, and that good news would finally come to this troubled land.

Here’s an example of the USA State Department calling for peace:

1) Can’t Wait to See this New DVD Course on Relating to Muslims

It looks like Comma Network has done a superb job on their curriculum, “Journey to Jesus: Building Christ-centered friendships with Muslims.” We’re trying to get a review copy so we can see it ourselves. But in the meantime, we didn’t want to stop you from seeing it either! For $10 (or any price?), it looks like a very promising offer.

2) Free Course on “How to Change the World” Online

Starting again Nov. 5 this free MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is an excellent way for churches and individuals to learn about poverty, change, disease and global health care, education and more. While not every subject is approached from a Christian worldview, the speakers and subjects are very good/leaders in their field. Take it at your own speed. Do the assignments or skip them.

(Thanks for bubbling this up, Mark!)

3) Why Are There So Many Different Travel Insurance Options?

Here is a 7-minute video that will educate you on one agent’s explanation of why there are so many different emergency medical insurance options and how to choose from among them. Sometimes, there is confusion out there. This may help short-term missions, churches, and those having to choose their own long term international health insurance. (Disclaimer: This is produced by an insurance agent — but the truth is, he has over 21 years experience in helping travelers choose great insurance options.)
