7) Learn How to Make Disciples who Make Disciples — in 2 Days!

icomAm I really making true disciples if they are not in turn able to make disciples? How can I become a disciple worth multiplying? Can ordinary average Christians really experience exponential fruit 30, 60 and 100-fold like Jesus promised? Join international trainers Curtis Sergeant and Dr. Lee and Jan Bridges as they help you answer those questions and more. These sessions run 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. both November 16th & 17th 2016 at the International Conference on Mission (ICOM), Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY. The cost is $35.00 (covers program/material costs). Food is available at nearby restaurants). All registrations are being handled by ICOM. Register first with ICOM

http://theicom.org/register/

Towards the end of your registration process you will have
opportunity to choose one of the “pre-con” seminars. Choose “Disciple Making Movements.” The course is limited to 36 trainees. It will indeed most likely fill up. Register NOW if you’re interested.
This DMM Seminar Training facilitated by Jonathan Project & Team Expansion.

8) Want to Learn How to do Missionary/Member Care?

Join the Missionary Care Catalysts, Nov. 18-19, in Lexington, KY, at the International Conference on Missions (ICOM). Hear specialists such as Neal Pirolo and many others in panels, workshops and more. For questions, write Lori, the track coordinator, at LRogers@CCCGo.com . To attend, register at ICOM

http://theicom.org/register/

then choose the Missionary Care track. Churches are called to be partners in the Gospel with our missionaries and together impact the world. What is the role of the local church in sending and caring for missionaries?

10) New Book on Autism

autism-book-coverHere’s a new book on autism — “The Curious Incident of a Boy’s Transformation: Helping a child on the autistic spectrum by Debbie Lovell.” As you might know, autism is not a rare condition. At one recent camp for Missionary Kids, four of the ten boys who attended were on the autistic spectrum. This book helps us to understand people with this condition better, and by doing so it helps us to provide better support. As well as chapters on basic issues such as eating, sleep, meltdowns and social skills, this book also has chapters on coping with travel, and church and faith – topics very relevant to those in the mission community. Kindle versions are available on amazon, including free sample chapters. For orders within the UK (£4.99), email

11) Last Edition of Brigada Lacked the “www”

Several links didn’t work correctly in the last edition of Brigada because, for some reason, we allowed several items to appear without the www. If you were one of the inconvenienced readers, please forgive — and re-try the links with www in front of the URL. Thanks and, again, please pardon the inconvenience. (Thanks Jeff and others.)

12) If You Like MindMapping Apps — and you use Windows

Ever see one of those “mind maps?” They’re usually speckled with bubbles, kind of like an org chart on steroids, in hopes of representing all the miscellaneous ideas/themes on one page or drawing. If you’ve been looking for an app to try, why not sample MindManager 2017 for Windows, just released last week. They’ve perfect sharing, made it play well with others, given it more dynamic layouts, and even added in lightweight project management and planning. See it at…

where you can also download and try it for free.

13) We’re Grateful for…

thank-you-1…the Brigada participant in Ambridge, PA, USA, who sent $25. Thank you!
…the $100 gift from Global Opportunities. God bless you!!!
…the faithful ‘true fan’ of Brigada from Smithtown, NY, who sent $100. We appreciate you!
…the Brigada reader who sent the note, “Thanks for your valuable service that helps many of us persevere in seeing the least reached peoples receive the good news of Jesus Christ.” That’s why we exist for sure! God bless you!!!

14) The Last Bit: Would You Consider Brigada?

Brigada doesn’t try to raise much money. For over a decade, our annual fundraising goal has been $17,000 per year (enough to pay for web-hosting fees, email, anti-spam monitoring, and a part-time assistant to handle communications and publishing). I can’t remember the last time we hit the goal. The crazy thing is — over 7,000 people read the email version each week… and many more read the web version online, where each weekly edition is archived forever (since 1995). So really… if just one generous guy decided to give the entire $17,000 in one check, we could leave behind the entire question — and move on. Or, if just 170 “true fans” of Brigada would each send $100, we’d be done in an instant. So this Thanksgiving, would you consider making an offering gift to Brigada? Start saving now. Come up with $100. Then on November 14th, just mail a check payable to Team Expansion (Brigada), 13711 Willow Reed Drive, Louisville, KY 40299. Team Expansion is a 501(c)3 incorporation so, for USA citizens, your gift to Christ through Team Expansion is tax-deductible. If you’d rather give online, just click “Donate” in the upper right corner at brigada.org . In advance, please hear us when we say, “Thank you!” And God bless!!!
