SIL at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, has the courses you need. June 2 – Aug 4 could be a wonderful summer for you alongside others with similar interests. DBS Bible has released these incredible ministry tools. They’re similar to “Chinese Treasures.” If you’re at all working with Arabic of Farsi, you’ll likely be very interested.

Basically, the story reports an iPod app that translates text from Spanish to English (and vice versa) in virtually real time. Right now, there’s only Spanish, but give ‘em time. :-)

The WorldBibles.org site is a one-stop place for you to find foreign language Bibles. They list an amazing 14,000 web locations where Bibles can be found in over four thousand world languages. Many Bibles are free downloads, and they list books, audio, video, phone and Braille media. Wycliffe Associates UK who developed the site have tried to make it very easy for users. They have just added Spanish as a user language, making a total of 18 user languages including Russian, Mandarin, Korean and English. The new “World Bibles” web site, just released by Wycliffe Associates UK, will help immigrant populations to find Bibles in their own languages. It will also help Christian workers wanting Bible resources for outreach to non-English speakers. The site is at

Resources are listed for hundreds of languages, including printed Bibles, Scripture cassettes, CDs, on line Bible text, downloadable Bibles, and films. Visitors to the site simply type in a language name. A list appears showing known Bible resources available in that language. Since the site is an index, it provides links to existing sites on the Internet, but it does not offer any specific Bibles.
