It’s a six-session study on the Great Commission. For hundreds of years, committed Christians have gone to the ends of the earth in response to our Lord’s command to take the Gospel to everyone… everywhere! Organizers of this course hope that you will be captured by the vision of a world that is increasingly being reached with the Message of the love and forgiveness of Jesus. They pray that you will become men and women of Issachar. More than 3,000 years ago, God raised up a cadre of 200 men and their families, from the tribe of Issachar, to give leadership to His people because they “Understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” Now you can become like they were.

4) What’s a “MOOC?” Only the latest 30,000-person virtual classroom

I’ve just wrapped up a great 3-day retreat with 7 other CEO’s of mission agencies. One of our number is plugged in well in the educational scene. He couldn’t wait to tell us about the rapid roll-out of these Massive Open Online Courses, or “MOOC’s,” as they’re called. Read more about them here…

Any class with 30,000 students gets my attention, even if only 20% of them graduate. Exciting stuff.

9) What do you think of Online TEFL Courses?

Distance Learning

Distance Learning

I’m assuming a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) class would be superior if you could attend it in person, right? (Or do you disagree?) But are there any better bets for online TEFL programs? For example, if you were to study at…

would you come away with a good handle on how to Teach English? Do you have a favorite online program or experience? If so, would you be willing to give us the referral information in a comment box immediately below this item?
