In all of these cases, one of the best parts would be the personal notes of encouragement people send. One friend, who works with Bethany Interational, commented, “My husband and I have followed Brigada for many years and recommended it to many others so we are glad to make a contribution. Thanks for all you and your team do to benefit the global missions force. None of us can do this alone. We all need one another and our jobs are made easier through the resource sharing/informing that you make possible.” Amen and God bless you in your work.

13) We’re thankful…

*** For the gift of $8.21 from Insurance Services of America.

They provide insurance plans for those who need international health, and travel insurance, as well as those who want to be reimbursed if their travel plans change or are interrupted by anything in any way. I’ve had to collect before — and it works.

*** For $25 from the Arizona Wedding Pastors. Awesome! Thank you!

*** For $200 from World Outreach Missions, Lawrenceville, GA. The great folks there give fairly regularly — and we pray God’s mightiest blessing on them!

11) Thank you for a great 2009

We’re *sooooooooooooo* grateful to everybody that has pitched in during 2009. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here’s a $300 gift from workers who write, “In our work in the restricted access country where we live, we have several times used resources we learned about from Brigada Today.  We realized it was high time we said thank you.  Enclosed is a check for $300. Your efforts to see worshipers among all people groups is an inspiration to us. From some friends with the International Mission Board, SBC.” Whoa. God bless you!

We also received a much-appreciated check for $360 from Los Osos, California, a $100 gift from a friend in Hattiesburg, MS, and a $250 from a True Fan of Brigada from World Vision Switzerland, who wrote, “Your newsletter is greatly appreciated.” God be praised.

To all who gave in 2009, we appreciate you!!!!! The final tally for 2009 gifts came to $14,224.38. We look at this as a direct tribute to God and we lift it up to Him as praise! May He be glorified forever.

(This concludes giving for 2009. Any gift arriving from here on out will begin a new year of giving for Brigada. For 2010, our budget will remain fixed at exactly the same amount it has been for the past few years: $17,120. But for now, we’re thanking God for a great 2009. Even though we didn’t meet our goal, it still goes a long way toward empowering Brigada to get out of our screen and into the inboxes of some 10,000 subscribers the world over. Again, thank you to all who gave from their hearts.
