CORRECTION: CLICK THOSE HEELS!!!
Sorry about last week... when I said
we could now "click those heals!" [sic]
(it really was sick!!!), I
really meant, "click those heels!"
Thanks Lionel! But the intent of
the message remains just as promising: beginning next issue
of Brigada Today, Don and Judy Pratt, of Topeka, KS, will be taking on Customer
Relations for Brigada! We're very grateful for their partnership!!! (Well
-- I don't know about you but
I'm very grateful for their partnership!
)

TRYING TO TRACK DOWN THAT VIDEO ON MORMONISM???
It's apparently about
40 minutes in length and includes an overview of Mormon doctrine, as well
as how to witness to Mormons worldwide. You could try calling (800) 866-3621
or writing Customer Services, Foreign Mission Board, PO Box 6767,
Richmond, Virginia, VA 23230-0767, USA. It's supposed to be hot!

WANT TO LEARN TO TYPE IN OTHER LANGUAGES?
Well now, at least your
computer can display the fonts. (Learning to type the words will have to
be up to you!
) Apparently you have to visit
ftp://ftp.dayspring.com/fonts to
- the actual font files (for example Central Asian Courier, Arial and Times)
- Microsoft Multiboot Utility (language.exe)
- the keyboard drivers for WIN95.
With those three parts, you're on! Thanks to Jane and all her colleagues in Spillern who
are helping with this!

INTENSIVE INTENTIONAL TENTMAKING
INTENT will run a TENTMAKER BOOT
CAMP at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 East 34th Street,
Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 23 (beginning at 5pm) - 24, 1998.
Saturday will be built around two tracks: Marketplace (Job Takers) and
Entrepreneurial (Job Makers) approaches to being a Kingdom Professional.
If you are in the area, don't miss this opportunity to get information on
overseas job opportunities and practical helps with "next steps!" Contact
INTENT at 1-800-478-2598 or email
dorothyblaha@msn.com for more
information and to register. Brochures will be available in December.

INTENT'S '98 NATIONAL CONFERENCE
With the theme, "INTENT '98: MANY
JOBS; ONE TASK - Networking Professionals For Global Impact," INTENT's
National Gathering will convene May 15-17, 1998 at the Divine Word Retreat
Center, "Techny Towers," located about 20 minutes from O'Hare International
Airport in Techny, IL. Dr. Christy Wilson will be the featured speaker,
supported by other plenary speakers, and selected workshop/breakout
sessions in two tracks -- Job Takers and Job Makers. There will be an
emphasis on Afghanistan and lots of networking time. Simultaneously, the
content of INTENT '98 will focus on what God is doing through tentmaking,
as well as what He will do through the Finisher's Project in mobilizing
second career baby boomers to "move beyond success to significance," as Bob
Buford of Tyler, Texas puts it so well. Contact INTENT AT 1-800-478-2598
or email
dorothyblaha@msn.com for more information. Brochures will be
available in January.

CHRISTMAS TIME IN THE TROPICS
Maybe you know someone who, this
Christmas season, is laboring away in the tropics, away from family back
home. Searching for just the right gift? Here's one idea. A phone card!
I'm talking about the limited kind... good for, say, 30 minutes in your
home country. That ought to give them at least a 10-minute call home to
grandparents or uncles or whoever. Check to be sure such phone cards are
internationally transferable (seldom, in fact) -- and if they're not, mail
the phone card to the grandparent as a gift to the on-site worker in the
tropic. It'll still carry just as much meaning. Europe has had these cards
for years, and only recently have we started seeing the spring up in any
quantities in the USA. But now they're everywhere -- at every gas
station, Wal-Mart, and even the Mom-and-Pop stores. So . . . this
Christmas, give the gift that carries more meaning than a tin of popcorn
could ever tackle -- put a missionary in touch with those significant
others, voice-to-voice. God bless your day!
