Curious about what happened to all the AD2000 & Beyond unreached people data? Wonder no more. The legacy lives on . . . in the form of Joshua Project II. They continue to refine their already-completed comprehensive ethno-cultural list of all the world's peoples. Check it out (viewing and download) at: http://www.joshuaproject.net/datacomplete.html Now, during the next few months, they want to attach various Church Planting progress indicators to that list e.g. % Evangelicals, % Adherents and several others such as Operation World Progress Indicators, status of various ministries tools of Bible Translation progress, Christian Radio Broadcasting, Audio Recordings and Jesus Film. Then they'll try to establish criteria to identify the least reached (possibly something like less than 2% Evangelical) and then publish a global comprehensive least reached list. Next they'll tackle what might be the most important phase -- to begin promoting the comprehensive least-reached peoples list and gathering ministry commitments for networking purposes. They'll also expand the JPII website to be interactive to allow queries such as: "Show me the ten largest groups without a Jesus Film that are considered unreached? Show me all groups in the 10/40 Window that are below 5% Christian and have audio recordings available. Show me the 20 top most adoptable" peoples."
Let's all pray that God will bless their work. They are the "Nehemiahs" trudging through the city in the dark, hoping to gain for us a more accurate picture of the walls that most need rebuilding.
Email-based global news? Until recently, Infobeat provided an excellent email news service, but they recently changed their format and their range of content. Do you have any suggestions on a comprehensive, free (or inexpensive) email news service providing global coverage that does NOT require web access to read the articles? Send your comments to David davidg@cy.net including the URL to contact the news service. A summary report will be made available after a couple of weeks here on Brigada. (Thanks David!!! What a great idea. I feel your pain. My buddies and I went to CNN.com's email news. It's still no replacement for the old InfoBeat.)
The Visualized Bible Series is a 78-volume series of flash card Bible-teaching lessons. Each volume contains four lessons and sixteen large, colorful illustrations (10" x 14") bound into the book. Each volume teaches one Bible doctrine or topic (i.e.: Faith, Prayer, Repentance, Forgiveness, The Nature of Man, etc.). The entire series is available in English from Bible Visuals International, PO Box 153, Akron, PA 17501-0153. BVI's web site: http://www.biblevisuals.org. BVI's email karenew@biblevisuals.org. The three volumes on the Crucifixion and Resurrection are printed in Arabic and are available from either Bible Visuals International or Clarion Publishing House, PO Box 165740, Beirut, Lebanon. Clarion's email is Clarion@cyberia.net.lb. Inquire about costs and missionary discounts. There's a free catalog available from BVI. DISCLAIMER -- Please note that there's no way we can possibly screen all the text on all the web sites or items we recommend. We try to
check them out first... but if we miss something, please don't assume that the opinions on those sites are identical to those
of the Brigada family of networks. "Eat the corn, leave

SUBMITTING CONTENT -- To submit content or ideas to Brigada Today, first please get a copy of "Guidelines for submitting items to Brigada"
Then, once you've composed your item in keeping with those guidelines, send your item for Brigada Today to DLucas@teamexpansion.org.
Thanks to <eGroups.com> for hosting the Brigada mailing list.
Emphasis is placed on items relating to unreached peoples and challenges faced by those reaching them cross-culturally.
PLEASE DON'T SUBSCRIBE US TO YOUR LIST -- It's always better to ask before manually force-adding anyone to your list-serve or mailing list. Recently, tons of well-meaning people have been subscribing Doug to their lists. Since he often travels overseas, he doesn't join many of those, for obvious reasons (like being charged big-time for overseas access). So as a general rule, please don't bulk-mail us! See the note above if you'd like to submit items for Brigada Today. Thanks for understanding. Bottom line: We will never create Brigada Today items from bulk mail. Bulk mail gets deleted immediately -- sorry. Nothing personal. We suggest you apply the same standard to everyone. Ask first!
WARNING ABOUT FORWARDING EMAILS -- Please, before forwarding any kind of request (even if it says
"please send this to all your friends"), please check to
make sure it has a VERIFIABLE ORIGIN, a VERIFIABLE PURPOSE, and a
VERIFIABLE CLOSURE (OPC). By following this simple approach, many
"email viruses" could be nipped in the bud... at least in the Brigada family. More information about the full Brigada OPC protocol is available. Thank you.
