1) HOW TO INCREASE PRAYER SUPPORT? -- Most cross-cultural workers agree that their number one need is a high level of prayer support. However, transforming that need into a consistent reality is often an ongoing challenge. If you have a method or idea that has worked well for you or your organization, Kerry would love to hear about it. Possibly you know a website with some creative ideas. 2) OPTIONS FOR TRAINING YOUR SHEPHERDS? -- The International School of Ministry offers a 159 hour International Curriculum for the training of shepherds. In cooperation with Vision University of California, they offer not only their own diploma, but an Associates of Biblical Studies to all registered students. The International Curriculum is available in over 50 languages on VHS, VCD, Audio Cassette and via internet. Some of the contributors are Jack Hayford, Reinhard Bonnke, Dick Eastman, A. L. Gill, LaMar Boschman, etc.
It is the work of Pastor Berin Gilfillan who traveled with Reinhard Bonnke for more than three years. In those travels he saw the mass conversion of 100s of thousands and he also saw how small was the available body of Christ to absorb such huge numbers of new believers. There are presently over 3000 schools operating around the world. Only 300 of them are the United States. One of the newest is in Corpus Christi (Body of Christ), TX. 3) HOW DOES ONE LOCATE EXISTING GOSPEL FILMS? -- Suppose you knew someone who wanted to find... "The Mystics" (originally used by Campus Crusade), "The Lie", and "He Restoreth My Soul" -- three films from the past. Is there a web-search tool that can help? A Brigada participant wants to know . . . and the answer might be useful for many. Drop us a line if you've got a solution and we'll publish the answer for all. Thanks!

4) GLOBAL YOUTH MINISTRY REPORT -- Doing youth ministry outside the USA or training youth workers globally? A new free service, "The Global Youth Ministry Report" sends out an e-mail to find out what's working globally in such areas as "Training Student Leadership," "Reaching Lost Youth," or "Developing Indigenous Worship for Youth." Then, a writer compiles this global wisdom and e-mails back a free report. In this way, youth workers glean ideas from practitioners in various cultures that may well work in their own setting. Finally, each report will be archived at http://www.reach-out.org in the "ARTICLES" section (Whew! What a great site!) so that further input from readers can add to this global I.Q. of youth ministry. Interested in this free wisdom exchange? 5) A CASE STUDY IN PARTNERSHIPS -- Nepal, the only official Hindu kingdom in the world, was closed to the outside world until the 1950’s when the king opened the country for development and education. The 1990 democratic revolution further opened the doors to the gospel. Reportedly, for the first time in Nepal history, the Nepal government has turned over a district government hospital to a community based non governmental organization (NGO). The organization, 'Human Development and Community Services' (HDCS), is a Nepali Christian NGO. HDCS is partnering with MMD, a European medical mission that will send equipment and medical personnel. Future Nepal government - Nepali Christians relationships will depend upon positive results. There will be much attention on HDCS. 6) CHRISTIAN MICROENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT AT A DISTANCE -- The Chalmers Center for Economic Development at Covenant College (USA) is offering an email-based distance course that trains missionaries and Christian Development workers in basic principles and practice of microenterprise development and microfinance for poor people in the Two-Thirds World. The 8 week course is taught by staff of the Chalmers Center for Economic Development at Covenant College (USA) and has weekly readings, short written assignments, and interaction with other learners in the course from around the world. More advanced MED-Microfinance distance courses are available following completion of this introductory course. 7) EUROTRAIN: AN INNOVATIVE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG LEADERS -- Top Flight Leadership is taking nominations for EuroTrain 2002 - an innovative training experience for North American young leaders! 10) DEVELOP THE SKILLS NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND YOUR TARGET CULTURE -- Learn tips on how to become a student of culture and how to enter and figure out ministry. In this 3-week course, students will gain both the practical and theoretical tools needed for strategic ministry in a cross-cultural context.
