1) See “Perspectives/Kairos Course” Values Come Alive in This Book

no placeSteve Smith’s novel “Hastening” is a mini missions course wrapped in a fast-paced thriller reflecting global Kingdom realities. It aims for an impact similar to Perspectives or Kairos by presenting the potential for movements to hasten swift completion of the missionary task among all peoples.

This is Book One of the “No Place Left” saga, written to mobilize portions of the Church that tune out missions and would never read a missions book.

Hastening is discounted to $2.99 on Amazon Kindle through mid-November for the missions community (please let others know):

The print-on-demand edition will soon be available on Amazon as well.

2) Cross-Cultural Workers Marriage Issues

This book is for people serving in limited access countries. It is the basically the one written for missionaries, but with no mention of missionaries or missions. However, it does mention Christianity and quotes Scripture. If you know people serving in such places, you may want to send them the link or download the book and send it to them as an attachment. The book is available to download free of charge as .doc, .pdf, or .zip files for your computer and as .mobi or .epub files for your Kindle or Nook.

5) What kind of personal impact can a Brigada item have?

“Huge. In 1999, I saw a Brigada item requesting help at the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) to prepare the World Christian Encyclopedia (Edinburgh University Press). I began with a 3-month commitment and have been with them ever since. I wasn’t really looking for a life-change at the time but God spoke through Brigada, as I’m sure he does so often and for so many. I’m sure I speak for thousands of other participants when I say, thank God for Brigada.

P.C.
Brigada Participant”

6) Learn about T4T, the Ying Kai Story, in Book form

t4tCheck out the book, “T4T: A Discipleship Re-Revolution,” at…

http://www.worldchristian.com/productdetails.php?product_id=35731

You can watch the explanatory video there to learn more. This book describes one of the most explosive and fruitful Church Planting Movements. During its first decade, starting in 2001, the T4T (Training for Trainers) movement saw more than 1.7 million baptisms and over 130,000 new church starts. T4T integrates evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership development in a seamless process that is proving adaptable to other ministries, infusing them with reproducibility. Born in Asia, T4T is also bearing fruit in the U.S., as practitioners in a number of states report multiplying generations of new believers.

8) Help us understand: What is this guy trying to say?

In his item on “Invasion USA” at Teaparty.org, is the author trying to imply that it’s a BAD thing that we get to welcome guests from around the world?

http://www.teaparty.org/97-syrian-refugees-america-muslim-heres-map-127787/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=97-syrian-refugees-america-muslim-heres-map

We’d like to suggest that the USA is a country that has historically welcomed refugees… and that if we work hard to welcome them correctly, many could encounter the love of Jesus Christ like never before. What’s your take on this article? (Shawn, thanks for sharing it.)
