5) “Arts in Mission 2011: Training for Cross-Cultural Ministry” —

Join a global gathering of mission leaders, trainers, arts advocates, and facilitators in learning to engage with music and other arts appropriately in cross-cultural contexts. Equip yourself with key principles to effective service by experiencing this highly interactive training event Sept 4 – 11, 2011, just outside of London. The arts under focus will include drama, movement and dance, music, visual art, storytelling and more. Every participant will receive a training manual demonstrating the importance of field-based learning and creation with local artists. Collaborators in this event include the host venue – All Nations Christian College – as well as the International Council of Ethnodoxologists (ICE), SIL International, and the World Evangelical Alliance Mission Commission.
